| The Jacksons were crowned icons at the BMI Urban Awards, but the King of Pop was an
absentee. Janet presented her music-making brothers — Michael,
Tito, Jackie, Marlon and Randy — with the lifetime achievement BMI Icon award following a musical tribute at the award show celebrating R&B and hip-hop's top hitmakers. While Tito, Jackie, Marlon and Randy reunited Thursday to accept the award, Jermaine and Michael didn't attend the Wilshire Theatre
ceremony.
Where was Michael?
"I don't know," Marlon told The Associated Press before the show. "I think he's in Egypt riding a camel or
something."
"It's a great honor to know your music influenced a generation," said Tito. "We're very proud of this moment."
The tribute kicked off with dance troupe Jabbawockeez performing a funky "Dancing Machine" routine. Music group ONE sang "I Want You Back." JoJo and Lloyd partnered on "I'll Be There" before Mario unleashed a high-energy rendition of "Heartbreak Hotel" and Keri Hilson crooned "Who's Loving You." The finale featured Mario, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd and Ray J teaming up for "Never Can Say
Goodbye."
Before presenting her brothers with the award, Janet said her family was her greatest commodity and that she was proud to salute her siblings for their accomplishments in the music industry.
Following the acceptance of the icon award, the Jackson brothers posed on stage for photos with father Joseph, mother Katherine and sisters Janet, LaToya and Rebbie. The Jacksons did not
perform. Apparently Taryll, TJ and Dealz were in attence of the
ceremony as well, we're awaiting pictures of that.

his 50th birthday, Michael spoke exclusively to "Good Morning America" About
his past, future, dreams for his Children. As he turns 50, Michael told "Good Morning America" in an exclusive interview that he's "having a wonderful time, just
relaxing." He spoke candidly about his career, kids and plans for the
future.
Speaking by phone from his home in California, at times so softly he was barely audible, Jackson said he was listening to James Brown and preparing for his 50th birthday Friday, when he will "just have a little cake with my children and we'll probably watch some cartoons" -- before he gets right back to
work. Does turning 50 mean he now has an AARP card?
"Not that I know of!" Jackson said, laughing. He said he still can do all his famous dance moves and "more."
"I feel very wise and sage, but at the same time very young," he said.

| Australian designer Bruno Schiavi has scored a major coup, teaming up with Janet to create a sexy range of lingerie.
The range, dubbed Pleasure Principle after Janet’s 1987 global hit song, is her first fashion venture and will hit stores across the world from November. It's the latest in a long line of celebrity partnerships for Schiavi who has also collaborated with the likes of Delta Goodrem, Priscilla Presley and Brett Lee. Janet said she has always wanted to design an underwear range: "I love lingerie," Janet told AAP from Los Angeles and says working with Schiavi was a perfect fit. "It was actually my manager that introduced us to begin with and he thought we would be very compatible together and that's how it all started," Janet said.
"People have offered other things my way. It just wasn't the thing for me, but when this came about I felt a great passion for it and that's where it really stems from." Janet had an instrumental role in the design process and wanted to create a brand that was detail-focused and would make every woman feel empowered. The range is aimed at women of all shapes and sizes from 10A to 18DD in a sexy rockstar colour palette of black, reds, silver and burgundy. "It's very bright and fun and then you have your classic blacks and reds," Janet said. "It's about the comfort, the pleasure of wearing this bra, the comfort the fit. There are things that I love and things that I don't love about certain pieces that I even had at home."
Schiavi said he was impressed with Janet’s eye for detail. "The second time I met Janet she brought this huge duffel bag of bras and we went through them - I love, I hate, I hate, ah, I hate," Schiavi told AAP. "Janet's very picky about the fit and it's got to feel like it fits."
Schiavi hopes to bring Jackson to Australia soon to promote the range.
"This is just the start of our brand," Schiavi said. "We were actually talking about it the other day and nothing's been etched in stone, but I think we are coming to Australia," Janet said. "I'm hoping that I do come, I really miss
it."

a short visit to the UK, where Jermaine participated on
a BBC Show, he's in Saint-Tropez in France with his
girlfriend Halima Rashid. They were relaxing at club
Nikki Beach and were also special guests in the VIP Room
night club.

is being taken to court in the UK over an alleged £12,000 debt.
Legal action
has been taken by martial arts schools owner and fitness trainer
Matt Fiddes, from Devon, a friend of the Jackson family. The
claim, filed in Carlisle county court, is for the sum of £12,051,
the balance of a loan of £20,551 he made to Mr Jackson. Mr
Jackson, older brother of Michael, repaid the sum of £8,500.
The loan was made for Mr Jackson's flights from the United
States to the UK, and expenses, for a visit and television
programme here earlier this year.
Mr Jackson, with other family members, also visited north Devon
to look at the possibility of buying a home there. Mr Fiddes'
solicitor, Nicholas Richards, from Carlisle, said the claim had
been issued in the town's county court. "The presumption is
it will lead to a trial unless there is a court settlement along
the way," he said. Mr Fiddes, based in Barnstaple, said
over the last few years he had built a close and personal
relationship with the Jackson family. A few years ago he was
instrumental in bringing Michael Jackson to Devon to take part
in an event at Exeter City's home ground St James' Park,
attended by thousands. "We have looked after them before,
and Tito has even been involved with elements of my martial arts
business," said Mr Fiddes. "I have not filed the
lawsuit proceedings for the money, it is more about the respect
and principle of the matter," he added.

Sebastian Bach, Irene Cara, Mikalah Gordon, Jermaine
Jackson, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lorenzo Lamas and Sean Young
as they compete for a chance at country music success. Gone
Country 2 takes seven celebrities from every realm of the
entertainment business and immerses them in all things country
for a chance to break out as a country star and release a new
country music single. This season the competition is more
intense as Rich enlists more help from his Nashville friends to
put these seven country music-driven celebrities to the test
during this two-week challenge. Each celebrity will again be
paired with two of Nashville's finest songwriters with whom they
write a country single. In addition to meeting with songwriters,
in each episode the cast will compete in challenges that test
them musically and physically to adapt to a life in country
music, both on and off the stage. At the end of the two weeks,
the artist that is most prepared to impress a country audience,
as determined by Rich, will record and release their single to
country music radio. The show was recorded in Spring, but will
air Fridays at 7 PM on CMT channel from August 15th.

The Jacksons will be named BMI Icons at the organization’s eighth annual Urban Awards ceremony, to be held Thursday, September 4, in Los Angeles. The Icon designation is given to BMI songwriters and artists who have had “a unique and indelible influence on generations of music makers.” The Jacksons will be saluted with an all-star musical tribute during the ceremony, and join an elite group that includes James Brown, Isaac Hayes, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, The Bee Gees, Willie Nelson and Carlos Santana, to name a few.
One of pop music’s most influential quintets, The Jacksons blazed a trail for r&b and pop music, creating a sound and musical image that is emulated to this day. Hailing from Gary, Indiana, and formed in 1966, the Jackson brothers — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, Michael and, joining in 1976, younger brother Randy — were a true American success story, transcending race and redefining the sound of pop and r&b music. They were the first group to have their first four singles hit #1, and they remain one of the most globally influential pop and r&b groups in music. As the Associated Press noted, so far, all the brothers, with the exception of Michael, have confirmed their attendance at the event and there have been rumblings of a possible Jacksons reunion for
years.

| A rare song by
Michael Jackson entitled “Men In Black” is up for auction on
Ebay. It concerns a promo CD and it's one of the rarest Michael
Jackson items in existance, only 10 are said to exist and this
is the first time one has been on eBay.
This CD was given to a Sony BMG executive on a flight in 1990 to
Neverland as a taster of what was to come on Dangerous.
The most interesting track on the CD is "Men In Black" (not related to the films staring Will Smith), as it was intended to be a single release from Dangerous, but Men In Black was shelved and since has not been released or leaked.The CD also features an alternate version of "Black
or White" compared to the version that was released. The
tracklist is as follows:

Still in the UK :-) What is everyone doing on Saturday (Tomorrow) I am having a great time in the UK. Not
only has Devon been wonderful to us, but I have met some
incredible fans as well. I truly missed England. I hadn't been
back in o Sunday however, I will finally head home. Which leads
me to the reason of this post. I would love to see you guys in
person if you are in London tomorrow and free. Later tonight I
will find an exact place to meet and a time. If you have any

has called off the European leg of her heavily hyped Rock Witchu
tour, blaming the lack of promotional efforts of her label
Island Def Jam Records. "I'm trying to figure out a way to
say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just
stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album, so I don't think
you're going to hear another single off this album,"
Janet told SOHH.com. She also wanted to make clear that her tour
cancellation and dissatisfaction with her label should not be
taken as a slight against her fans. "It was definitely in my heart to
go to Europe and to support this album...it's about teamwork,
it's not something I can totally do on my own….Unfortunately,
things have turned out the way that they have with the
differences between the label and myself."
The label, as it happens, is doing its part to distance itself
from the decision and resultant ire of the rhythm nation,
claiming they are in the business of album, not tour, promotion.
"Unfortunately we haven't experienced the results we would
have liked with this new album," an Island Def Jam
spokesperson told Billboard. "But we respect and support
Janet." For

surprises at the Michael Jackson & The Jacksons Event in
North Devon:
Michael called
in live at the North Devon Jacksons celebration event and told
the fans he's in Las Vegas doing studio work and that the album
should be out sooner than we all think. A fan uploaded a clip of
the special happening of Michael's phonecall to You Tube. CLICK

Not only Tito and Taj showed up for the celebration, but TJ
surprised everyone and was present as well!
A lunch with Tit, Taj and Taryll was acutioned for 2.000 British
pounds and a white defora signed by Michael was auctioned for
1.500 British pounds for charity: The North Devon Hospice.
According to a report from TNG
Fanclub, Taryll was not present because he is working in his
own music.
