Biography
Tito
was the first of the Jackson brothers that got married. He married
his high school sweetheart Delores Martes (Dee Dee) in 1971 and
together they had three children: Taj (1973), Taryll (1975) and TJ
(1978). The children's names were well thought out too, because the
2 oldest sons, Taj and Taryll, carry Tito's initials: TAJ! Only TJ
broke that rule, but he was supposed to be a girl...
Taj, the oldest and perhaps the shyest of the boys, fills the
typical big brother role, keeping a protective eye on his younger
brothers. Taryll, the middle one, is the glue that keeps everyone
together. And even though he's the youngest, TJ holds his own as
well, keeping his older brothers in their toes and even teaching
them a thing or two.
When the boys were young, they appeared on TV and on stage with
their famous uncles and aunts. Meanwhile the boys were already
imitating the Jackson brothers with brooms and mops. They were
learning to play instruments themselves. In 1985, (TJ aged 7, Taryll
10 and Taj 12) they were already offered a record deal, but they
turned the offer down, because they wanted to enjoy their childhood.
They wanted to have fun with friends, finish school and to play
sports (baseball).
They early nineties were both happy and sad times for the T's,
because at that time, Tito and Dee Dee divorced and were living with
their mother and working on a musical career as well. In August
1994, when Taj, Taryll and TJ were busy working on their debut album
in the studio, their mother Dee Dee died in a horrible accident.
Their mother's death wasn't just an accident; her new partner Donald
James Bohana drowned her in a swinning pool and was convicted of
second degree murder in 1999. For a while, Taj and Taryll had
settled in University and they were enjoying life.
When 3T felt ready to continue the debut album, both for themselves
and for their mom, they did so under their father's management,
"Poppa T Management". It was at this point that Michael
decided to offer his nephews a record deal at his own MJJ Music
label and the debut album Brotherhood was released in 1995.
After 5 European singles and more than a year of promotion (tours),
the brothers decided to go on tour. The Brotherhood Tour caused
serious 3T-Mania in Europe and fans had the times of their lifes
seeing the brothers perform their songs live on stage.
February 1st 2000, 3T founded their own Internet record label TTT
Music. In July 2000, the label's first artist, Klaye, released his
debut album "klAyE dAyE", which is entirely produced by
3T.
In 2003, 3T released their first single after six years in France.
In the next year, the singles “Stuck On You” and follow-up
“Sex Appeal”, including the album Identity were later released
in Belgium, Holland and Germany as well. Right now, the brothers are
working on their new album, as well as writing and composing songs
for other artists. |

The
Lost Album
(Sony Music / 1998)
Over 20
songs were recorded for the album and only 12 would have
been on it. 3T completed the album in-between Brotherhood
and Identity. The album however was never
released by Sony due to strained relationships between
Michael Jackson (MJJ) and Sony. This album is considered
by many fans to be 3T: The Lost Album. |
